What's New
At the Tompkins Funeral Home we are excited about celebrating our 137th year in business. To mark our celebration we conducted many changes to our facility in which we truly pride ourselves.
|
Early in 2003 we decided a change was necessary, so we took upon ourselves to address those changes. After listening to our communities requests we created a fully handicapped and wheelchair accessible facility with an atmosphere that is warm and comforting to all that enter. We started with the addition of a 230 seat chapel that is complete with natural lighting, public address system and an organ. We then modified our visitation rooms to make them much larger. We also added a private familiy room |

that can be used by the immediate family when they require peace and quiet during the visiting hours. We also use the family room for consultation and funeral arrangements.

We added wheelchair accessible washrooms and a modern day preparation room. On the back of the Funeral Home, we also added a 3 car garage that gives our lead car, removal van and funeral coach heated comfort and protection. Everything from the paint on the walls, the ceramic tiles and the lighting at our entranceway says "Welcome" to all that enter. A full time staff member sits behind our new reception desk located in our main foyer to offer assistance to anyone who may need it. Donations are also handled at our reception desk. |
The public's response to our new challenge has been extremely overwhelming and makes us believe that the renovations have been a definitive success.
